The map shows potential ecological linkages in California prioritized based on the following criteria:
-Presence of species and ecological processes
-Threats present in linkage
-Existence of documentation
-Opportunity for acquisition and support
Linkage arrows are approximate locations indicating areas in need of ecological connectivity for wide-ranging species. Linkage locational information is appropriate for general planning purposes only. Data was compiled at the Missing Linkages Conference, San Diego, California, November 2000.
